This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use and protect personal data when you visit academy.figenai.com, enrol in a program, or interact with the team.

We process personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the French Data Protection Act, and equivalent laws in the jurisdictions where Academy operates.

3 · Why we process your data (lawful bases)

Performance of contract — to deliver the program you enrolled in, issue your certificate, manage billing.
Legitimate interest — to improve Academy, analyse aggregate usage, prevent fraud, ensure security.
Consent — for marketing emails, cookies that are not strictly necessary, and recording of live sessions.
Legal obligation — to comply with tax, accounting and regulatory requirements.

4 · Who has access to your data

Your personal data is accessed by:

Figen AI staff on a strict need-to-know basis (program operations, customer success, accounting).
Sub-processors under data processing agreements — our learning platform (LearnWorlds), email provider, payment processor, analytics platform, hosting provider.
Public authorities, only where legally required.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share it with third-party advertisers.

5 · How long we keep your data

Marketing and prospect data — 3 years from last interaction.
Customer data — duration of the engagement plus 10 years (legal-archive requirement for accounting).
Learner records and certificates — 10 years from completion.

6 · International transfers

Some of our sub-processors are based outside the European Economic Area, notably in the United States. When transferring personal data to those jurisdictions, we rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (2021/914) and, where applicable, additional safeguards.
